# Contact Enrichment

> Enrich existing contacts in Rex CRM with Propexa.

Contact enrichment is a Propexa workflow that adds new contact details to
existing people in Rex CRM. To start,
apply a tag to the contacts you want processed. Propexa handles the search,
matching, and writeback automatically.

## Before you begin

For the strongest chance of a match, check that each Rex contact:

* Is a person contact
* Has the correct full name
* Includes a property or address, when available

## Start an enrichment

  <Step title="Choose contacts in Rex">
    Find the person contacts you want to enrich. You can select contacts
    individually or prepare a group, such as the owners on a particular street.

  <Step title="Apply the enrichment tag">
    Add the `Propexa Enrich` tag to each selected contact. No other action is

  <Step title="Wait for the scheduled run">
    Propexa collects tagged contacts nightly and creates an
    enrichment run. A contact already being processed will not be added twice.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the contact in Rex">
    After a successful match, Propexa writes any new details to the existing Rex
    contact, removes `Propexa Enrich`, and applies the `Enriched` tag.

  If a contact cannot complete the flow, the `Propexa Enrich` tag remains in Rex
  so the contact can enter a later run.

## Example use case

  processes them after hours so enriched contacts are ready for campaign kick-off the next day.

## Frequently asked questions

    Contacts which are:

    * People (companies and trusts are not supported)
    * Have an address, either by a linked property or in the address field
    * Have full name(s)

  <Accordion title="Why does enrichment run after hours?">
    Running after hours helps Propexa work within current provider and volume
    limits while processing contacts reliably.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Not all my tagged contacts get enriched. Why?">
    We were likely unable to get a match, either because we didn't find one or

  <Accordion title="What happens when there is no match?">
    Propexa skips the contact and does not write any new data to Rex. The
    `Propexa Enrich` tag remains so the contact can be included in a later run.

  <Accordion title="Will Propexa remove existing phone numbers or email addresses?">
    No. Enrichment is additive: Propexa only adds new contact information and
    never deletes existing phone numbers or email addresses as part of this flow.
