# Invite Members

> Invite people to your Propexa workspace and help them sign in.

Workspace admins can invite people from the **Users** page. You can invite one
person at a time or invite several people at once.

<Warning>
  **Workspace access is not separated by team.** Anyone with access to a
  Propexa workspace can see all data in that workspace. For a closed office, do
  not invite people from only one team expecting that choice to isolate the
  team's data. If someone must not see another team's data, they must not be a
  member of the same Propexa workspace.
</Warning>

## Send an invitation

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Users">
    Select **Users** in the sidebar, then stay on the **Members** tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the member details">
    Select **Add member**. Enter one email address, or paste multiple addresses
    separated by commas, in **Email addresses**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a role">
    In **Role**, choose **Member** or **Admin**. A role does not restrict which
    workspace data the person can see: both roles have access to all data in
    the workspace.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invitation">
    Select **Send invites**. Invitations for people who do not yet have a
    Propexa account appear under **Pending invites** until they create their
    account.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What the invited member should expect

Propexa emails the invited address with the workspace name and the next step:

* A new Propexa user selects **Create account** in the email. They must use the
  invitation link, which expires after 48 hours.
* An existing Propexa user selects **Sign in** in the email. Their workspace
  access is already available when the invitation is sent.

There is no separate acceptance control. For a new user, creating their account
from the invitation link accepts the invitation and adds the workspace.

Propexa supports **Sign in with Google**, **Sign in with Microsoft**, and
**email and password**. A new user can continue with Google or Microsoft from
the invitation page, or enter their full name and create a password. They must
use the email address that was invited.

After signing in, the member chooses the invited workspace on **Select
workspace**.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="The invitation email has not arrived">
    Confirm that the address was entered correctly, then ask the recipient to
    check their spam or junk folder. A new user's active invitation remains
    visible under **Pending invites**. To send the email again, open **Add
    member**, enter the same address and select **Send invites**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The invitation link is invalid or expired">
    New-account invitation links expire after 48 hours. Send a new invitation
    to the same email address from **Users**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The member cannot create an account or sign in">
    Check that they are using the exact email address that was invited. This is
    especially important when continuing with Google or Microsoft. Existing
    users should select **Sign in** rather than trying to create another
    account. For an email-and-password account, they can select **Forgot
    password?** on the sign-in page if they do not know their password.
